Lozier is my mother’s maiden name and racing is in my blood. In the inaugural Indy 500 of 1911 the Lozier car crossed the finish line first but a scoring snafu denied them victory. Built to win like the Lozier, this amazing wine is the epitome of a Rhône style blend. Aged 1 year in neutral oak barrels this beautiful garnet colored wine exudes wild strawberry, leather, dried herbs and a hint of bakers coco. On the palate it tantalizes and with a lingering finish it puts you on the podium!

Long cool open fermentations result in low extraction and fine tannins while preserving fruit. Fermented in open top fermenters, punched down by hand 3 times a day, pressed, 31day extended maceration then pressed to barrel. Aged for 12 months in 100% neutral French oak
Food Pairing Notes
Wild salmon, seared Ahi tuna, Veal, Lamb chops and mild spicy cheeses. Asian foods, and duck pair nicely with this wine.
