2018 Barbera

The Piedmont region in Italy is home to the Barbera grape that’s known for its deep color, low tannins and high acidity. In California, the Santa Ynez Valley is one of the best places to grow this varietal. The wine exudes aromas of red fruit and flavors of boysenberry, black cherry, spicy black pepper and grilled meats. A cocoa powder texture dances on the palate leaving a lingering cocoa finish. This wine will age nicely.
